STUDIO ETIQUETTE
HOW TO GET THE MOST OUT OF YOUR PRACTICE
CLASS STARTS ON TIME
Studio door unlocks 15 minutes before the start of class. Please arrive at least 8-10 minutes before class to check in, set up, and ground yourself. We close and lock our doors 5 minutes after class begins for everyone's safety and security. If you arrive late and class has already started, we cannot guarantee entry. Cancellations must be made more than 1 hour before class begins. Canceling within the hour before class will be considered a late cancel. Late cancellations and no‑shows will result in the forfeiture of your class pass. Members will incur a $10 late‑cancel fee charged to the payment method on file.IF YOU NEED TO LEAVE EARLY, LET THE TEACHER KNOW AND SET UP NEAR THE DOOR
Tell the teacher that you need to leave early before class begins. Set up near the door and leave quietly before savasana. Leaving during savasana may be disruptive to others. Don’t worry about cleaning your props; leave everything where it is and exit quietly.FEEL SICK OR HAVE A COUGH? PLEASE STAY HOME.
If you are feeling unwell or experiencing cold or flu symptoms, please stay home. Our space is small, and we want everyone to feel comfortable practicing in proximity to others.SHOES OFF, PLEASE!
When you enter our studio, you’re entering a sacred space where most of us are barefoot. Please respect the space by removing your shoes upon entering and storing them on the boot trays at the front of the studio—this helps keep the studio clean and sanitary.KEEP PERSONAL BELONGINGS IN CUBBIES.
Our studio has limited floor space. We ask that large bags and purses be left at home or in your car. To keep the studio floor tidy and safe, please store all extra items—clothing, bags, phones, keys—in the cubbies located in the back room. Personal belongings will be moved if they are in the front entryway or blocking the exit.LIMIT DIGITAL ADDICTION. PHONES MUST BE SILENCED OR TURNED OFF AND ARE NOT ALLOWED ON THE STUDIO FLOOR.
Please be respectful of our space and community by silencing or turning off phones during practice. Please silence smartwatches or any tech that might light up or make noise. And if you choose to wear tech, please refrain from texting during class.KEEP IT FRESH!
For the comfort of everyone, please come to class clean and fresh. A quick shower or some self-care beforehand (including deodorant or antiperspirant) goes a long way. Avoid wearing strong scents, as they can be distracting to sensitive noses. Let’s help everyone breathe easy and stay present.CLEAN STUDIO MATS AND PROPS AFTER USE
Please clean all studio mats and props using the provided cleaning spray and towels located at the back of the studio before returning them to the prop wall.WATER ONLY
Water is the only beverage permitted in the studio. Please avoid bringing coffee, soda, juice, or other drinks that could spill and damage the floors. We have a complimentary water fill station located in the back room. Please bring your own water bottle and help yourself!SPOTS ARE FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED
In busy classes, please use the Yoga Spot circular stickers on the floor to space your mat. If classes are busy, please be prepared to accommodate others.PRACTICE PRESENCE & RESPECT
During class, refrain from talking to neighbors.HONOR SAVASANA
Savasana is a sacred closing to your practice. Stay. Be still and quiet. If you must leave early, please do so before savasana begins and make sure you have told your teacher in advance and have set up in the back of the room.LOW ATTENDANCE POLICY
If only one student is registered and shows up at the start of class, it will be canceled. The student will not lose their pass; it will remain on their account for future use. If no students are registered 60 minutes before class, we reserve the right to cancel the class.AGE POLICY
Students must be at least 16 years old to practice in the studio unless attending a designated children’s yoga event or workshop. Any student under 18 must have a parent or guardian sign their liability waiver.
