Meet Katrina “Kat,” a 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) trained through House of Om in Bali in 2026. Kat first discovered yoga as a sophomore in high school and has spent the past 12 years deepening her practice, exploring how yoga can nurture not only the physical body, but also the emotional and spiritual self.
As a student, Kat enjoys practicing Ashtanga, Vinyasa, and Yin yoga. As a teacher, she loves creating intentional Vinyasa and Hatha flows that blend movement with meaning. Her classes are infused with a deeper exploration of the subtle body, including the nadis, or energetic channels through which prana, or life force, is understood to flow. For Kat, yoga is a union between the physical body and individual consciousness, a practice of becoming more connected to ourselves, both on and off the mat. Kat believes that yoga offers an opportunity to slow down, listen inward, and create space for growth and self-discovery. Her teaching encourages students to explore movement with curiosity and compassion while honoring the unique relationship between body, mind, and spirit.
Outside of yoga, Kat works as a counselor, where she dedicates her time to creating supportive spaces for others to navigate life’s challenges. When she isn’t on the mat, you can find her gardening, painting, listening to music, or enjoying time with friends and loved ones.
